Held every year in March, two streets in Lismore’s CBD are closed to traffic and transformed into a culinary haven. With a variety of different cuisines, live music and classes, foodies will not want to miss this!
Lismore Gemfest
Held in May, this annual lapidary show is the biggest in Australia. Minerals, gems, fossils, jewellery, tools and equipment, displays and demonstrations are on exhibit in the heart of Lismore.
Lismore Car Boot Market
Created in 1988, Lismore Car Boot Market is held on the 1st and 3rd Sunday of every month from 7.30 am until 2 pm. With over 200 stalls, there are various products from new, handmade, preloved, and vintage.
Byron Bay Bluesfest
Held over five days on Easter Long Weekend (subject to COVID), the festival celebrates blues and roots music. Less than 45 minutes from Lismore, the festival features renowned Australian and international artists, as well as a variety of food and market stalls.
Nimbin Roots Festival - October
Located in Nimbin, a half an hour drive from Lismore, this festival is a two-day celebration of blues, roots, folk, and traditional music around the Nimbin township.
Lismore Lantern Parade
The Lismore Lantern Parade is held annually on Winter Solstice, the coldest night of the year. With a different theme every year, watching intricate lanterns is a memorable experience for any age.
