In 2022, Lismore was devastated by one of the most catastrophic flood events in its history. Like many in the community, the Lismore Gateway Motel was severely impacted, with significant damage to our buildings, facilities, and surrounding infrastructure. It was a challenging time for our team, our guests, and the wider Northern Rivers region.
But from this hardship came resilience, determination, and a commitment to rebuild—not just for ourselves, but for the community we’re proud to be a part of.
Today, the Lismore Gateway Motel stands stronger than ever. Our newly renovated property has been thoughtfully designed with resilience and comfort in mind. We’ve not only restored what was lost but reimagined what was possible—creating stylish, flexible accommodation offerings to suit everyone from business travellers to holidaymakers.
Importantly, we’ve also looked at how we can better support our community. From incorporating more accessible design features to creating spaces that welcome local events and gatherings, our rebuild has community at its heart.
